Thanksgiving Food Drive To Support PSU STUDENTS IN NEED!

Portland State University has a food pantry for students in need. Few people know about this resource for students and their families. In fact, I’d never heard about it in the two years I’ve been a student at PSU.

It offers five items a day to those in need. However, it’s nearly empty. HELP US FILL THE PANTRY!

EMPTY PANTRY

The pantry is open Monday through Friday from 12-2PM. It’s located in SMITH (SMSU) 325. Please drop off any food donations there.

We will be hosting a food drive in the park blocks at the times listed below.

We hope you’ll help us support fellow students and PSU by filling these shelves!

  1. You rock Liz and Zapoura!

Here is some general info for anyone who wants to help, but can’t bring food to campus:

Checks or inquires for the PSU Food Pantry can be sent to:
    ASPSU SMSU 117
    1825 SW Broadway
    Portland, OR 97201

Checks can be made out to:
    PSU Foundation
Then in subject line: ATTN: PSU Student Pantry

Donations are tax deductible, and if you need the non-profit tax id # for your donation let us know where to send the information to!

Hope to see some support at the Food Drive this Wednesday the 20th and Thursday the 21st from 12-3pm on campus (in the park blocks, or between Smith Memorial and Neuberger buildings if weather is bad)

Anybody that can’t make it during the hours of the food drive or during the hours the pantry is open, can drop off donations at the ASPSU office which is open until at least 5pm every weekday, sometimes later. There office is on the 1st floor of Smith building in the hallway across from Subway/Student Store/Starbucks.

    Thank you,
    -Sasha
